Looking for a teacher
Hi, I’ve been playing c6 steel for 3 or 4 years now and think I’m finally ready to have some instruction. Skype works fine for me. I’ve talked to the steel players in town and nothing works in my schedule. I like the late 40s early 50s steel in country music. Not too interested in the Western swing type stuff. Any recommendations!? Thanks

Lane: my pal Rick Schmidt teaches E9 and C6 via Skype. PM me and I'll get you his contact info. He's a killer player. I teach just E9 via Skype.

John Ely does a great job via Skype and is very serious about teaching, not to mention a fabulous player. Check out his web site, in particular the section on Skype Lessons (and the curriculum overview link on that page): http://www.hawaiiansteel.com.
