1970s Sho~Bud The Professional D10, with 8 & 4

Post by Golf2steel »

I am posting this steel guitar for sale on behalf of a friend who lacks Internet access.

1970s Sho~Bud "The Professional" D10 with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers (standard Sho~Bud setup). Serial number 2815. Bill Lawrence humbucking pickups: #705 on E9 and #805 on the C6 neck. Traditional mahogany stain on curly birdseye maple body. Wooden necks. Rack and barrel tuning system. Teardrop headstocks with Grover tuning keys. Leg pouch and hardshell plush lined case.

The original coil selector switches were disconnected after installing the BL humbuckers and there is what appears to be a treble cut (boo-wah?) pushbutton switch between them on the right front endplate.

VG condition for its age. Plays well. Please examine the photos closely.

Asking $2600, or best reasonable offer, plus shipping from Detroit, Mi. If interested, contact me via the forum's PM or email system.

H.H.

Someone is missing the boat here. This is a beautiful old Bud and deserves a new home.
I know the owner and he takes real pride in his equipment.

Hello Wiz...talked to the fellow seems like a good man..this old bud would suit me to a tee....but I really do not need it...some one will end up with a true classic...in the right hands this will go nose to nose with any steel out there....
