C6th lap steel "slant mania" lick

Here's a wacky slant lick that shouldn't work but (mostly) does. It's pretty hard, or impossible, to play some of these chords in tune but in context, with the music flying by, it works - whether played as a series of glisses with one pick attack or picking each chord. Here's computer-generated audio of how it sounds plus a short Dm to A7 backing track with which to try this crazy lick.
