It is with great sadness and a broken heart that I am making this post. As Sid said earlier, my dad, Stoney Stonecipher passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon. Each and every one of you he met through all these years on this forum and at the numerous steel shows along the way, especially the ISGC, your friendship meant the world to him. He enjoyed every minute of it. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. We still have a long way to go. We love you all because you loved Dad. God Bless! Joy Stonecipher Evans

Stoney was a pleasure to watch and a great host and friend to us all. I enjoyed so many shows in Knoxville and St. Louis for over 25 years. Stoney was a tireless speaker and kept the shows moving and always had a kind word to share with each artist. My prayers to you and your family and know that your dad was loved by us all. RIP Stoney.
