---> 8 string OMI Dobro <---

Post by Erv Niehaus »

This Dobro is an original OMI instrument.
It is listed as model #63 in their catalog and I bought it new in 1975 and it has received very limited use.
It has a factory installed Barcus Berry pickup.
The scale length is 24 1/2".
The body construction is maple hardwoods; top, bottom and sides.
It is in excellent shape! :D

What is the string spacing ? is it the same as a stringmaster?

It would be wider than on a Stringmaster.

Erv,
This is very cool! What kind of tuning were you using on this?

Cameron,
It would either be C6th or possibly a variation of an E tuning, like C#m7. :D

Bro Irv, that is a fine looking instrument for some 43 years old :!: Looks like that would be a pretty good neighborhood you were talking about - hope it sells fast for you.

Stan,
Thanks, it would make someone an excellent guitar.
I am trying to thin the herd, otherwise I wouldn't be selling it.
8 string Dobros are hard to find. :D
