Stereo Steel Rig
Hello fellow steelers...I have a Webb amp and was wondering how the stereo steel rig stacks up with the Webb? I love playing in stereo when room permits...Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm considering purchasing one.

I've been playing a SS for about 10 years now. I love it! It's the gold faced amp with JBL speakers. It's an astounding amp with a very full sound and more than enough power for any stage. Of course, you have to use an effects processor or one or more effects pedals with it, since it's an amp only. I started with a Profex 2 and switched to a TC Electronics M-300, which I like a lot. So, two speakers and a three space rack case and I'm ready to go.

I have the old Gold faced unit from around '93 with a pair of BW. If I had the luxury of just playing my steel--- this would be a great way to go!!!!
Usually though, I'm also playing multi instruments and end up using an Eleven Rack for processing each instrument, into a regular stereo amp THEN into the 2 BW speakers.
---Worse case scenario, I drop back to a Digitech processor then into a Nashville 400. Still gets a nice sound!
It all depends on how much you are willing to carry and how much room you have to set it all up. All in all, you can't beat the SS for pure enjoyment.
