Shipping cost of banjo in case

Post by steve takacs »

I am trying to get a Shipping cost for a banjo in a hadshell case. It needs to be well protected but the box shoukd not be ultra huge

I would prefer to ship USPS if possible from Minnesota to Georgia

Would $100 do it?

I would go to USPS Or FEDEX myself but I am in the hospital.

The banjo and case are $925

Thanks
Steve

You really should know better than to post a b@njo question in the Pedal Steel section of the forum, Steve.

Moved to Music, for lack of a better place.

Yes, that was a mortal sin, b0b. How about putting it in the OTHERR INSTRUMENTS section? It might be more likely to be seen there and I have two banjos listed there.

Thanks, b0b

Steve, you can get the price here:

https://postcalc.usps.com/

You will need weight and dimensions in all three directions. You have to look for the button for adding insurance.
Pedal steel, lap steel, resonator, blues harp - why suck at just one instrument when you can do so on many?

Steve, It is all about size these days. The smaller the box, the less it will cost. Pack it well, but don't use a box any bigger than necessary.
