This forum is probably their single source of customers. It's definitely their biggest. And decide to shut down communicating? Great business model.

Didn't I read that she was in posession of the picks and was sending them off to be polished.
She needs to come clean with all who paid money in good faith. I think her handling of this is BS. Although, I don't think she is trying to screw anyone, but I can't believe it takes this long to get picks made. My guess, and it's only a guess, is that she couldn't come up with the money to get them stamped. That would be a sizable anount of money to have to have up front. You have to get molds made for the stamping process. Then comes the material costs. Then the costs of the actual stamping process.
I think she had big dreams and don't think she should have tried bringing back the picks.

I just received this today via email. Unfortunately it sounds like dealing with outside sources can be rather frustrating. My feelings is that the picks will arrive eventually, but the delay is outside their control. As a purchaser of other JeffFran products in recent months, they have honored all my orders and are continually offering discounts if you are on their mailing list.
Jeffran Finger Pick Update
We received word that the nickel silver material used for our JF fingerpicks took longer to import than anticipated. Therefore, we are still awaiting our order to be fulfilled. If you have placed a pre-order purchase and wish to no longer wait, please advise via email and will gladly refund you or issue store credit in the amount paid, whichever you prefer.
We would also like to use this to clear up any confusion, the Pre-Order began due to a high request of such from our customers, when we first ran out of stock, we had no idea the process and amount of money that would be required. The Pre-order began to help us afford the MINIMUM order requirement as it was originally a little more than $5000. Since then we have had to come out of pocket even more to cover unforeseen legal expenses in regards to our order being fulfilled. We are finally on the homestretch and will have these back in stock very soon! WE THANK ALL OF YOU who have remained so patient and supportive throughout this exhausting process.

Going over my current accumulation of JF picks, I realized that I probably have enough to last me the rest of my picking career, so this morning I sent an email to Melissa requesting a refund of the $40 I paid back in February. I also asked for acknowledgement that the email was received.
I will keep the Forum updated as to the developments as they occur.

None whatsoever. Jeff was my mentor who, though I never took a lesson from him, was also my close friend who got me started in the course business. Fran was equally dear to me. They would be disappointed, I feel.Pete McAvity wrote:Morbid curiosity here, Herb. Day 10. Any response?
