$2.5k has been sort of the median price for a good Frypan for years. Occasionally one will come along with a nice gold finish or a long scale, which is rarer, and will fetch more, but 2500 is about right. Same for the tricones. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

A few years back I bought a 1934 A22 with the original "Speaker" amp for $3K. More than I wanted to spend, but the amp has value on it'so own and the guitar and pickup had been professionally refurbished by "Berryville Magnetics & Rick Repair", R. Aiello, prop. Which is also worth a lot.
Bottom line, I thought $2,500 was a fair price for the guitar alone then and still do today. |

Your guitar is worth more Marc just because you've played it!!

I've watched that clip many times and dig it!
The guy sold it for 1500$. Would've done better here, too bad. |

Sad news is that the "Old Man" on PawnStars passed away a couple of days ago.
I always liked this show. The only so called "Reality" TV show I'd watch, though anyone with a room temperature IQ would know it is set up. There ain't no real Reality TV out there... If there was it would be a loser. _________________ Inlaid Star Guitar 2006 by Mark Giles. SD-10 4+5 in E9th; http://luthiersupply.com/instrument-gallery.html

I much enjoyed your Lullaby of Birdland on youtube - playing your frypan. It sounds wonderful. It's coming up to 3 years I have been looking to buy a prewar pan and no success. In that time 2 nice looking ones did come up on the bay but I had no valid US address at the time so couldn't bid. If you ever want to sell yours I am a buyer - can buy from October - March any year. |

Ignore all prices on Pawn Stars. IF you do a bit of reading about the show every single "broadcast item" is handled on a special taping day, and nearly everything about the "deal" is fabricated.
Their Guitar "experts" drop so much misinformation it's absolutely laughable to vintage dealers and consultants. Wrong years, wrong terminology, inflated values...
It's not "reality" television. They just want you to think so. Fun to watch, but useless as a "reference tool". _________________ No chops, but great tone

Hi Jim,
Hope your doing well?
Right about what you said but... It's still a fun show and I like the little quiz they do before each break. Get them right about 75% of the time.
Just get a kick out of the show and ignore the so called facts and experts.
Best wishes,
