It was built by Kay, probably in the late '40s. It's one of their lower-end models and probably wouldn't fetch more than $150. |

I believe Sherwood was a brand used by Montgomery Wards stores. They bought mostly from Kay and Harmony, but like Mark and Noah have said, this one was made by Kay in Chicago. |

Sherwood was indeed the house brand for Ward (before they changed it to Airline), but this model was sold under a variety of brands. |
