New strings on Big Red - you'd have a roadie to do that, right Paddy?
BRISBANE weather - Beautiful one day, perfect the next!

Top Show Guys!
Well the show is over for another year, & I'm sure Jeff will come along with a more detailed report later BUT
I just wanted to say a big thanks & congrats to all our players on a top show!
What a privilege it was to see Terry Bethel & Milt Q work together, like they did in the old Mel Tillis days.
A little bird even told me about some unfortunate sleeping arrangements between an Oz steeler & a certain Kiwi steeler! (I won't tell Paddy!)
Big thanks also to all our visitors, backing band,
vocalists,volunteers & emcee/organiser Jeff Spencer.

Thanks Pam Quackenbush for this picture of Terry..
Terry Bethel wowed them at the Brisbane steel guitar festival on Saturday... He played his butt off... It was awesome... How lucky we were to have him over here to play for us... Very sad though, that Waz was not here to enjoy it... We all missed you mate, and I know you were looking down on it all, and enjoying it....

Just back from Aussie.
Glad I could catch the Brisbane SG Festival. I needed a bit of inspiration so I now have to do the work!
Thanks for organising a great weekend.
As usual there was a high caliber of performers.
I hadn't told Paddy I was attending and he got a surprise when he saw me there.
