Cindy Cashdollars Sierra 8 lap steel

Post by Jim VanBuskirk »

This Sierra 8 was custom made for Cindy Cashdollar of Asleep at the Wheel - only 2 like this ever made.

Cindy saw the original one made for Darick Campbell of the Campbell Brothers and liked it so well that she asked Sierra to make another one for her.

She has played it since new, taken it on tour for a bit and recently sold it to me.

This one of a kind guitar was written up in the 35th issue of Fretboard Journal. See the attached pic.

Has legs, indestructible case, star markers on the fret board and a unique tough finish.

Special pickup wiring and custom design from DiMarzio with 3 position rocker switch giving a choice of single coil, parallel and humbucking.

Alot more tonal choices than the standard GeorgeL pickup and really necessary to cut through a mix or live band setting.

An incredible guitar with loads of sustain, tonal color and some great history.

Price lowered to $ 1350 + $80 shipping - This will be the last price reduction..

for those of you who have inquired heres the measurements of the scale and string separation:

scale length is 24 1/4"
string width at nut is 2 5/16"
string width at bridge is 3"

doing the math that makes string separation at nut of just over 5/16"
and at the bridge of just under 7/16"
