ZB Custom Pickup Wiring

Post by Mike Hill »

I have a ZB custom, SD-10 that the pickup does not have all the wires attached to the jack.
The pickup is what I believe to be the original with four wires. Red, Black, White and Yellow.
At this time, only the Red and Black wires are attached to the jack. Should the Yellow and White wires be attached and where? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

ZB pickups have 3 separate taps. The wires should go to the 3-way switch in the neck.
Use an ohm-meter; connect one lead to the black wire & test each of the other wires. On one of mine the readings are
white = 9.7K
green = 16.4K
red = 26.1K
