I have been contacted by a future lap steeler in Sioux Falls, SD. for a instructor. Here in Iowa, we have a strong Jumpstart Program with several instructors throughout the Midwest, but our weekness is the area this lad hails from. I would like to be able to find him a instructor and soon. We can't let this lad go to long without some sort of support. PLease help me find a instructor for him and contact me thru my email. Guitarman@cfu.net or post it here and I'll keep checking. Thank you guys.

Roger,
Good luck with your search; someone from your Iowa program posted around a year ago (perhaps you?). I'm about an hour north of Sioux Falls on I-29; interested in steel guitar history, but I don't play. I can't think of any steel-players in the area at the moment; if I do, I will let you know. BTW, I taught Theory and Exploring Music two fall semesters-in-a-row, as a sabbatical-replacement @UNI, fall 1985 and 1986. Nice city there in Cedar Falls.
