Sho-Bud is here

Post by Larry Ravlin »

Well it arrived today, time to start on learning another instrument (as if I wasn't bogged down already) Not real happy, it looks like it was refinished and in the first pic, I don't believe that rod was done by Sho-Bud. I'll have to see if I can get Andy over here to help me out. It took me a few minutes to set it up but the darn thing was in tune, amazing, at least the E9. I am going to have to re-tolex the case.

It took me a few minut4es to figure out the short rods go in the front and I just put the pedal rods in the hole that was used the most. I need a seat before I can start. I went over it and tuned it real well but I will probably let it set a week before I tune it again.

Well, I sent this one back, it was too dinged up and had too many changes to the undercarriage. I received a full refund and purchased a Pro 11 with the super pro undercarriage, it arrived today and it looks pretty nice! a few little scratches but the bottom looks very clean and nice. Pics soon

may I suggest a new G2 Mullen ? It costs around $6,000.00 , but it doesn't have any dings, and bottom is very clean as well....

Scratches are character. Pristine is nice but I don't use my guitars for coffee tables or museum pieces. That was a nice looking pro3.

Since I wasn't buying new I did not expect a perfect instrument and need a full disclosure on cosmetics and mechanicals, and Pics don't tell the whole story, The top was gouged out by bad sanding, it looked like a belt sander with open grit paper and it had hit the end plate and sanded an edge of it. changes were made to the rods, the way they were bent was not correct.

yes, very nice guitar, and it was a Pro III with original pickups, I bet you this guitar has a tone to die for... hopefully it will end up with someone who knows what he has...
