Thanks for posting the photos.
Looks good, not sure if it's better looking because thats a matter of personal taste and desire.
I liked the Excel one too. They seem to be very good steels.

Will not be making these for other folks any more because there were just too many problems and I ended up loosing a lot of cash in the deal.
From now on will just be doing them on my own projects like these two lap steels I'm building.

A few more photos of some of the tests I did getting what I'd want for my new Custom All Polished Aluminum Mullen G2 that I'd ordered but had not yet arrived.

First I made a bunch of fretboards and tried them on other steels I had to get an idea how they would look.
These are some photos of them laid out on my Promat because it had Gold Tuners like the Mullen would also have;


Here are some I tried on my Sho Bud Re-build. Settled on the Silver & Black with Roman Numerals.


Then when the Mullen arrived I tested others on it;


Then the final Mullen with the Gold & Black Roman Numerals Fretboard attached.
Also made up some polished silver Logo plates to replace the stickers they had for the logo.


They say that the Mullen is the Rolls Royce of the Steel Guitars, but no way Rolls would use a sticker for their logo. So I fixed it.

Last are some others I did.
