I started the adventure on a 12 U in Dec. 2016. I have a GFI S12U. What an adventure!!!! I have not really got into the B6 side yet. with another near 2 octaves of E9 with strings 6,8 and 9. 8, 9 and 10 and 9, 10 and 11 it is like starting over. I bought the steel like new second hand and the Newman E9/B6 video was in the trade. The L K L Raise on string 9 to D gives you all the E9 back.
I am looking forward to following this post. . |

I loved it when I started playing this Universal and all the E9 and C6(up a fret) material still applied.

Thank you James Flaherty for giving this thread a bump -
I'd no idea it existed.
After a year or two of learning on a D10 I started to wonder what a uni would be like. I couldn't find one at justifiable cost so I got impatient and built one. I'm a thorough convert now. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

Wow Ian Rae, You built one? How difficult was it? How hard was it to get the parts? Sounds real interesting. |
