Styles for slow 3/4 ballads

Post by John Polstra »

I purchased BIAB 2016 for Mac a few months ago, so I'm pretty new to the software. I'm finding the styles very hard to navigate with their cryptic names. In particular, I haven't been able to find a suitable style for a slow country waltz. The waltz styles I've found all seem to be fast and/or piano-centric, and that's not at all what I want. I know you can mute the piano, but it seems to be the central part in the styles I've found. Can somebody recommend an appropriate style or suggest an add-on package I can buy?

An example of the kind of song I'm talking about is "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry".

Thanks,
John

Have you tried C_34.STY Country Classic Waltz or MOONRIVR Pop Waltz- Straight-8ths?

Thanks, Norman! I've been traveling and just got a chance to look for these styles. I couldn't find C_34.STY on my system, but I found MOONRIVR and I like it. Thanks for the tips.

When you find a good one be sure to save it in favorites.

Thanks, Ken. I'm finally learning that after "losing" a few styles early on.

Wow, I need to find the favorite button. I lost some styles too. Only have a few hours using BIAB....lots to learn.

David, here's where it is on my version (BIAB 2016 for Mac). It's in the style browser and the screenshot shows the lower-left corner.
