New Instrument from Doug Earnest
Courtesy of Doug Earnest... my new S-10 ZumSteel "Encore." She is really pretty, with black on top, and blue on the sides. Having more fun with this thing than I ever could have dreamed. Have been "grip-chording" away with Johnny Paycheck and Hank Williams Jr. classics. I'll need to get some serious lessons shortly, though. Love that 5th knee lever, too... gives a 7th/9th that resolves to a 7th when you push in the right knee lever. Found that out accidentally, for heaven's sake.
I owe my closet love of C&W to Bill Wiggs, the engineer and program director at WVOT in Wilson, NC back in 1969 who forced me to play country 45s that I came to love.
This wonderful instrument was worth every minute of the wait!
