Steel Guitar Throughout Soundtrack of "Hector" a UK Movie

I just watched the British movie "Hector". It is a movie of a man invisible to society and a realistic account of homelessness within Britain. I thought it interesting that the steel guitar was used extensively in the soundtrack.

As for the movie itself it probably is not most people's cup of tea, "pun intended",
