So let me get this straight; a buyer backed out of a deal because this Emmons did not have an ST in the serial number. Unbelieveable.

I also used to own an "ST-10" that has the serial number
"D" . I also had written documentation from The emmons company proving
that it was originally built at the factory as a single neck on a double frame.

I'm not knocking it and it looks like a great guitar but does it really matter left out parts at the factory or taken out parts by the consumer it's still an S-10 on a double frame.

guitar that was originally D10 ,but got butchered to SD10 is not the same as a factory SD10...you don't know who worked on the guitar, who took the parts out, which parts, etc...on top of that there will probably be holes left in the body, and of course arm rest would not be original Emmons either...guitar that leaves the factory as a SD10 has none of that mess, you know who worked on it, and you know all parts are genuine Emmons parts...so, no, butchered SD10 is not the same thing as a factory SD10, like this guitar is...that is not to say that D10 cut down to SD10 can't be a great guitar, but it is not the same, a d it matters to many people, especially if they are forking out thousands of dollars...
