Take The A Train - Improv
Hey Folks,
I've been practicing the Billy Strayhorn standard "Take The A Train". Here's a video I made. It's kinda rough but you'll get the picture.

Picks
I liked the video and congratulations on your progress.
If you plan to go the musical direction in the video, I highly recommend you make the jump to 2 finger and a thumb pick.
I know some players have achieved limited success with that holding a flat pick method.
It will open your entire world up to so much more if you go for picks and take the time to get your hands working like a true steel master would and all have done.
All of the moves you are attempting , and many more that fit that tune and so many more in the American Song Book arena.
Picks and playing technique can enhance every aspect of your now and future playing.
Hopefully you and others will take these comments as constructive.
