Hi,
Would anyone happen to know what humbucking pickup this would be on a Zum SD12 built in early 2001?
The pickup is 1.340 in wide and 4.510 inch long. The pole pieces are 0.200 inch in diameter.
Thanks,
Robert

Looks like a Lawrence 712 or Lawrence XR16-12. Either one excellent pickups, just sound a bit different. Lawrence 912 has single row of pole pieces.

I like them all - have a 912 in my Zum U12 now. But I've tried different ones on that guitar, all sounded good. My experience is that the 900-series has a bit more midrange/warmth, 700 the most clarity, XR16 in the middle. Don't see 900-series on the website anymore. |

Robert--that is either a Bill Lawrence 712 or XR16 . Those two look identical but it may have a label on the underside saying which one it is. |

Don't tell anyone but because I was the last post there I was able to change 710 to 712 without the tell-tale "edited" sub caption. |

BTW---just an observation: the 710/712 is a very popular pairing with a Zum so while that proves nothing, if I were interesting in gambling, I'd give weight to 712. |
