Guys, this is the prototype, and they usually are going to cost this much, until the market is flooded with them. Prototypes usually will have some issues.
That is why they are call prototypes. How many of you have ever bought a new car, off the showroom floor, take it home and find some flaws in it? What do you do? You take it back to the dealer to get them fixed.
I guess what I am trying to say is, let's give Mike Brown and the good folks at Peavey a chance to work
the flaws out. Customer feed back is good. But lets
not bash Peavey, They have stood behind the steel guitar community, when others have abandoned us.

Re: Session 115
Bobbe Seymour once told me, when I needed a knee lever bracket for my Sho-Bud. When he told the price was $20.00 for the piece, I about hit the roof. When he told me they were made out aircraft aluminum. I told him I paid $5.00 for one made of pot metal from Herb Remmington,in Houston, he told me he paid a thousand dollars for a Chevrolet back in 1960. And $18,000 for a newer model. Things go up in price.Mike Brown wrote:We appreciate your input and support through the years. It is still the working man's amplifier, but like everything else in the "world" prices do go up.

Peavey 115 steel amp
IMHO, I found nothing complicated about this amp. It was well laid out and easier to see the control settings than previous PV steel amps (and I have owned and loved every steel amp they have ever made).
I would put my money on this amp in a heartbeat.
PV has supported the steel guitar family better than any other amp company for many years and it has produced several incredible amps for us.
I thank Peavey from the bottom of my heart for all the work they have done over the years.
Keep it up,Peavey. Let me know when I can get my hands on your latest steel guitar amp.

Peavey Session 115
Things go up , prices go up , every thing seems to go up but a musicians pay. Peavey has been one of the best companies and mostly the industry standard for all PA and musical equipment almost ever since the company was founded. HOWEVER there is no way I will pay $1400.00 for a new steel guitar amp. I will not buy a new PEAVEY , I will not buy a new QUILTER. I have a bad back and I just found a used NASHVILLE 400 . If need be I will build separate cabs so I can move the thing around or put it on wheels or both . But until I can afford something better this is what I will do . and I'm sure I am not alone and other steel players feel same as I do .
GFI D-10 Ultra, Peavey Nashville 112, Goodrich 120 .

Yes, we finally have a truly light weight amp coming
I was at Bobby Reed's steel show last weekend, several good comments on the new Session 115's extension cabinet quality and size and weight. Many people could not believe that the new Session 115 will come in only 5 lbs. more than the extension cabinet.
Still priced fairly where the market is considering other competitors pricing which can be much higher than the MAP on the new amp.
I will let everyone know when I have the new amp in stock.
