Just a short note to let all know that my friend Jurgen Koop will be bringing Jimmy Day's Blue Darlin' # 5 Sho-Bud to the Texas Steel show and it will be on display in front of his booth. (Texas Music)

"Blue Darlin' V" update

Post by Buddie Hrabal »

This guitar now belongs to Buddie Hrabal and it lives in Arlington,TX. As soon as I can get some rod extenders so I can get under it, I will be playing it on select jobs. The guitar is in great condition.

Skip,
Guess I missed it too. Nice to see you again and chat for few minutes. Sure enjoyed everything you played on, especially JayDee's set. Bought his new CD. What awesome picking on everyone's part, especially on JayDee's Boogie where you, JayDee and Peter tripled the intro. Unbelievable! And they did it live too, folks.

Neil... You are the 1st pro steel player I ever met..1973..NYC.. Max's Kansas City..Fallen Angels with Gram Parsons/Emmy Lou Harris.. You gave David Mansfield lots of great help in Hackensack at the band house and I sat and listened intently ...David gave me his little Maverick a few years later and that got me going... Thanks for the great inspiration 43 years later!! :D

Skip, it was right next to my product table in the back of the show room.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
