AJ Lockett of Forth Worth Texas, a great friend of traditional country music and steel guitar has died. I just saw this information on Pearls Dance Hall website and Chad Rueffer's website.
AJ was a truly wonderful person. I lot of people know her from her time working at the ET record shop in Fort Worth. She will be missed by all. |

Really sad news. AJ was a super neat person, really a staunch supporter of our kind of music and a mainstay at the Stockyards when the ET Record Shop was identified as ETRS. Prayers and sympathy to AJ's family. |

AJ was one of my best friends, I am truly saddened. There was nothing she wouldn't do to help a musician she loved.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Aw so sad; and heavy heart. AJ was always the sweetest most supportive person. I was a very young just starting out steel guitar player in Gary P. Nunn band 1990. Every time I saw her she would always say: "Ricky you are doing so great; you seem to come a very long way in the very short times I see you".
Love you AJ; and just keep smiling down on us; as that is what we are all used to.

I echo all that has been said about AJ, such a sweet lady. She was always so inspiring and complementary! A friend to musicians playing the Ft Worth stockyards, for sure. May she rest in peace. RP |

For someone who never played an instrument she was a very influential person in the "Country Music Business". She loved the steel guitar and fiddle. Her love for Ernest Tubb never faltered. My life was blessed by knowing AJ. May she rest in peace. |
