Pawn X Change at 105th and Aurora has a BMI S10 pro model on sale for 1099. Looked like a weird pickup but it was all there. 4P4K no pad. I plugged in and the pickup works. Hope somebody can snag it. I'm here on a trip and no room in the car, plus my wife would see it haha.
The guy "Tad" there seemed willing to dicker a little, too.

I just say it looked like a weird pickup because I don;t know what's supposed to go in there. It was two blades and two coils with what looked like chrome on the outside.
The undercarriage had all the trappings of a pro model - everything looked like it could be rearranged. Right now the E# Eb levers are on the right side. Didn't check out how the rest of it was set up. Hope somebody snags this one.

I believe many older BMIs had the original Lawrence L-705, which fits the description you gave.

Found a picture on google images - Yep that is the original pickup. Thanks. I am glad to learn something. I hope I don't regret passing this one up.
