It's a Duesenberg commercial. :D

Love a chance to play both those instruments.

Great talent the The Bros Landreth and the Duesenbreg Fairytale Lap Steels are really fine instruments as well. They seem to get a bit of a cold or mixed welcome here on the forum.

Thanks I really enjoyed that and will check out more of there stuff via Youtube.

The Dusenberg guitars are really interesting, I am put off by the levers on the lap steel but I should try and get over that, the round neck electric is great sounding it would be interesting to see what everything is plugged into.

A friend of mine works on guitars for Robbie Mcintosh who plays with John Mayer etc, they also have those Dusenbergs, this just reinforced what I thought when I first heard them.

But due to there price a leap of faith instrument as they are in the same ballpark as Gibsons etc.

Thanks again, I will post something up this side of the pond to spread the word/Gospel (well it is Easter!!!)

BOTH the black strats have a "gold foil" pickup in the neck position, a la Ry's "Coodercaster." Whether it's a "real" one from a demolished Harmony or a resurrection from Lollar or GFS I don't know. I couldn't see the bridge pickups clearly, they keep waving their hands around in my way. dammit - kids today.

the guitar sounded good but the steel was wasted. he didn't get his money's worth out of that. maybe he just wasn't that skilled.

The guy playing standard had what looked like Lollar Supro and Gold Foils (looked too nice to be vintage) and the slide guy had a Teisco/Lollar foil in the front and Harmony-style at the bridge. Good stuff!

Bros. Landreth are very reminiscent of Little Feat when Lowell George was in the group. Very cool.
