A sad loss

Post by Eugene Kindle »

All steelers should know... we lost a great one and will be looking for his replacement(?) Dewitt "Scotty" Scott from St Louis, MO, has passed on. Don't know the details, but hopefully Michael his son will post something. So sad...

Scotty and Mary at the Denver Steel Guitar show this past June.

We are less without him.

Scotty was the main person who took the threads of the steel guitar and turned them into the fabric of the community we know today.

I'll miss him! I owe so much of my steel guitar capability to stuff I got from him. I got to go to his store back in 2007, and I finally got to meet him. I hope he's playing with Jerry Byrd in Paradise!
