just got andy volks 18 Arrangements in B11th Tuning. i'd like to set up an 8 string steel for b11. it is a 25" scale. did some research. Basil Henriques used

B11th neck 26"SCALE
1= E .013
2= C# .015
3= A .019
4= F# .022 PLAIN OR 24 WOUND
5= D# .032 WOUND
6= B .046
7= A .048
8= B .068

however he recommends a .72 in a blue hawaii utube video. if i use a .72 what would the other strings need to be? i would like to go heavy as long as it would give me leeway to change between the various b11 tunings. i'd probably use a wound 3rd string
thanks

For a 25" scale .. that can be used for a Hawaiian C13 with the big C on the bottom (ala Alan Akaka)) ...

1= E 0.015
2= C# 0.017
3= A 0.020 plain
4= F# 0.022 plain
5= D# 0.032 wound
6= B 0.038
7= A 0.042
8= B 0.068

Sure ...

Some folks like a lighter feel ... Some like higher tension ... Best to experiment to find what pleases you ...
