My latest Country Classic was co-written by Willie Nelson and Ray Price in 1962: "I've Just Destroyed The World (I'm Living In)".
They also each recorded it.

I just completed the trilogy of songs usually associated with the same melody.
I originally tabbed out "The Great Speckled Bird", recorded by Roy Acuff in 1936.
Then Hank Thompson recorded "The Wild Side Of Life" in 1952.
And then Kitty Well's retort to Hank's song; "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels", the same year.

However, these three songs were proceeded by "Things That I Can't Forget", by Welby Toomey @ Edgar Boaz in 1925 and "I'm Thinking Tonight Of My Blue Eyes" by the Carter Family in 1929.

All of the above songs basically had the same melody.

These long weekends are good for something as I completed a couple of new Country Classic tabs.
The tab I am introducing to you today is a song written by Bob Wills back in 1946: "Texas Playboy Rag". :D

A good friend of mine loaned me an old Hank Thompson song book and, so far, I've tabbed out the following songs from the book written and recorded by Hank and The Brazos Valley Boys out of Waco, Texas.
"Green Light"
"Honky-Tonk Girl"
"We've Gove Too Far"
"Don't Take It Out On Me"
& "Breakin' In Another Heart"

I had a request for this song.
It was written in 1967 by Jimmy Webb and was a big hit for Glenn Campbell: "By The Time I Get To Phoenix".

PS: I forgot who asked for this song, if you would send me a PM, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks :D
