Williams 700 Series SD10
I've decided to part with my main guitar from the last couple years. These are pictures from when I bought it. I've since played a couple hundred gigs with it, so I need to give it a good cleaning, and there are a couple of small dings here and there, but in general it's still in pretty much the same shape as when I got it, allowing for the fact that it was actually used (pretty extensively, at that).
Bill just gave it a once-over a couple months back. This thing plays great, but I'm looking to go in a different direction tonally.
I'm looking for $2350 plus shipping, and not interested in trades unless you've got a Show-Pro or Rittenberry Prestige, or maybe an Emmons P/P. I don't have a ton of money to throw into a new guitar though, so I'm not holding my breath for one of these trades.

I've played a whole bunch of Show-Pros lately and I guess that's just really the direction I want to go in. I've got a couple old Sho-Buds and that's where my ears want me to go. The Williams is a little darker, a little smoother, and probably has a little more sustain.
At some point I really want to try my hand at a P/P too, although I know that's totally different from the Sho Bud/Show Pro thing.

Ask and you shall receive! I took some time last night to get more shots of everything. I still need to polish the metal parts because it's been a while, but here she is, underside and all. I tried to show any noticeable dings, but there really aren't more than a few.John Booth wrote:Can we get a couple pics up her skirt? Like to see the pulling system.

I know what you mean about that Sho Bud tone. I have a Pro II and a Show Pro (D10's) and they both have a tone that is so deep and clear and once you get used to it nothing else will ever satisfy your ears. That Williams is a sweet guitar and there's someone out there who needs a light weight SD 10 who will grab it from you when they see it. Be patient!

Atom, that is a beauty. I have a blue 700 SD12 keyless, best steel I've ever owned. Ok, I've only been playing 7 years or so, but I love it. Great tone and sustain.
Ron, the centre nylon pillars simply limit deflection of the cross-shaft under lateral load. Simple, but effective.
