It's a little tricky!
I got to work it out other ways since I don't have that change, but I don't mind- that's part of the deal when your a dedicated 3 x 4 player. There ain't too many teaching that, though, so more power to you guys who get a chance to learn a few things on it.

That is good news, I am looking forward to learning how to better do chimes. I'm sure William has a few tricks up his sleeve that he can share with us.

If you're a regular Saturday Broadcast member then you've had the Intro for the last month or so to work on. I know I spent quite a few hours working on that one. It's not an easy intro. :?
It will be fun to do the whole song.

Over a 100 is viewing this broadcast weekly, if you are new to the steel guitar. You should give this a try, the technique exercises alone will be priceless. I wish someone had told me about William
when I was starting out.

Boy, last weeks technique exercises were really challenging. William has us using strings two and seven which I don't use very often but it's really a good exercise for your right hand.
I am ready for the next new song, "Mama Tried" should be really good.

This will be a very challenging project song. I know I've already spent quite a bit of time getting the intro down.

Hey George, Just checked out the sheets for tomorrow's Steel-In. This is gonna be a good 'un! Anybody else like to see these live? I usually tune in about half hour late, but I like attending weekly when he's doing the thing, keeping it regular, like Metamucil for my polycarb pedal.

Hey Dan,
Yeah I do the same thing--use William's Saturday Live class as a weekly framework for practicing. This week's worksheets look really good. I find it's the perfect time to work on psg.

This is turning out really good. Each one of those little lines in the verse is like a little exercise unto itself. Giving my index finger on the pickin' hand some workout!

It's a great workout! The reverse rolls on the chorus then the pick me ups in the first verse really get you going. William did an incredible job tabbing this out. I'm looking forward to the next verse now.

I agree Daniel! This is probably the most complicated song we've worked on with William. Persevere! Do like William says, 'do what you can and move on'. I'm getting a lot out of this song. The forward rolls and and then the chunka chunka thumb and two finger pulls right after that are difficult movements. I can almost do it without thinking about it too much, but I know it's gonna take me a couple more weeks to get it down right. I'm glad William is taking the time to go through this song.

I'm hanging in there, George! Like you noted, it takes a little care in sorting out your pickin' patterns to get the timing on point, but so far I haven't had to "move on" and hope I can get them later in the future. Not saying I got it together, but I'm stumbling home alright.
The way he interprets the parts is really inventive and varied, but it all hangs together seamlessly. The stuff coming down the pike is going to get real innarestin'.
