FS- two Forrest Custom b-benders! You choose 1...

Post by Doug Paluch »

I have a ton of guitars. It seems I spend to much when I'm not gigging, and need some cash right now. I'm offering two different b benders for sale. You can choose, but I'm only selling one! They both sound spectacular, and I'll be happy with either.
First off is the daylglow blue sparkle. It weighs in at around 8lbs, and is a tone monster. I've played this one the most, and it has a little play wear/ fret wear, but plays amazingly! The finish has sunk into the grain a bit, but the paisley finish is still by far, my favorite! The guitar has a 1 piece 9.5" radius neck with 6105 frets, and a more modern "C" back shape and rolled fretboard (around .720). The neck has minor flame, and an extremely smooth feel. It also features a dual-action truss rod.

Please see below for pickup/ wiring specs, as both guitars have the same.

Second is my black paisley sparkle. This one weighs less than 8, but I don't have an exact number. It's lightweight and well-balanced. This one has a two piece extremely flamed maple neck. Same specs as above- 9.5" radius, 6105, .720 back in a modern "c," and dual action truss rod. It is a work of art. It has one minor finish flaw on the lower horn on the back. See pic.

Both feature aircraft aluminum lightweight b bender mechanisms designed and built by Forrest Lee Jr.

Both guitars feature Forrest's custom scatter wound Boost Coil 3/2 pickups. Made by Callahan Pickups.
They're wound to 6.5k and then they tap them, and continue winding another 2k for a boost that adds just enough power to give you that boost for slightly driving the amp.

Nice even tone via 1/4" alnico 3 magnets for the E and A strings, and 3/16" Alnico 2 magnets for the D G B and E strings. This produces a nice even tone with rounded lows, and smooth highs, Not brittle, but full o twang!
Pull the tone pot, and it boosts the bridge and neck pickups for an over wound "Boost".
Both guitars feature compensated brass saddles, graphite nut, and a gig bag.

Asking 1350 for the blue sparkle, or 1500 for the black sparkle. Prices are firm!

That's a really fair price. I had Forrest add a b bender to one of my Teles and it was over $600.
Forrest's work in impeccable. You won't be disappointed.

Blue one pending. I've decided to sell both. I'll throw in a new mono vertigo case instead of a gig bag on the black sparkle for 1500. House bills are piling up!

Seriously, is the Black & Gold still around, or are you hanging on to that one?
