Playing Steel with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra!!

Post by Billy Easton »

I am honored to be chosen to play steel with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra in their Pops series Salute to Nashville! We are doing 2 performances, one on Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26th. Not many steel players get the chance to work with a symphony orchestra, and I AM CRANKED!! I have been playing steel guitar for 60 years, and have been blessed with many wonderful moments, but this may top them all! Check out the website at:
www.phoenixsymphony.org

It would be great to see you there!!

Thats awesome news Billy, you will love it - I have had the opportunity to do the same with our local Christchurch Symphony Orchestra a couple of times and it is a huge buzz ... good luck with that and enjoy every minute of it :D

Congratulations to the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, it's not often they get an opportunity to play with such a fine musician as Mr. Billy Easton.

I'm curious, to what extent were your parts charted out?

Thanks Brian for the kind words....the charts were 100% charted, but not being a sight reader, they gave me free rein to "flavor" the performance.
