We all joke a lot about our wives when it comes to our steel guitar obsessions, but I thought I'd send out a positive note for them.
My poor wife has been thru no less than 30 "I swear honey, THIS is the last one!"s regarding my steel guitar purchases.
I've had just about all of them over the years, and although she's an exceptionally strong-willed woman, she hasn't
yet booted me out or broken any major bones.
Gotta give it to her, because let's face it, it's probably more expensive than a drug habit and equally time consuming.
In addition, I hate to estimate how many 6 string guitars and amps I have been thru over the years, but it is at least a couple hundred.
SOooo - This is my thanks to you Wife-o-Mine, and after this last guitar I'm looking at, I promise I'll stop buying them
because THIS one really is the last one I'll ever need. Unless of course, they come out with a better one. _________________ Jb in Ohio

I don't know how mine could have forgiven all those MSAstresses.
At least steels aren't damaging to your liver. _________________ Those that say don't know; those that know don't say.--Buddy Emmons |

My friend Alan Thompson once got permission from his wife to get of new set of strings at a steel show
but the strings came with a new steel attached.
You just gotta look for those loop holes in your wording.
Take care
ATT: Alan Thompson are you going to make it to Dallas this year? Hope so!!!!!! |

When I send photos of my "new to me" 79 S10 PP Emmons to my wife at her office when I made the deal to buy it, her one word reply was "Sweet"!

Tom, I've seen the same thing except the first line is "Emmons or Day?" |

John, So you pegged the Wife-O-meter with sucking up. What are you up to now? My wife gets suspicious when I start talking nice about her. We are a lucky bunch, cause my wife has allowed me far to much gear. My problem is I never give any of it up. House is crowded with gear. Gotta love those sweet girls. |

Well, when they marry talented handsome men like us
the smart ones learn not to rock the boat my friend.
Either that or they're secretly keeping track of the
value of our gear and once we have the "accident" they'll
know how much to sell it for. _________________ Jb in Ohio
