SADDLE ouchless Finger picks
New finger picks that will stay on?
I have been observing pickers for years that are
constantly pressing their finger tips into their chest
or hand to push their picks back on. They also take
them off as soon as they can because they hurt. No
more pain or slipping with SADDLE finger picks.
As people started using the SADDLE thumb
pick I had several customers request that I design a
finger pick that would stay on & not hurt while playing.
Most people do not realize that the finger takes on a
different geometry from when it is installed than, on
their finger when it is in the playing position.

The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.

Not really. A few years back, I was playing at a PSG show in Virginia, and a guy was selling some nice looking finger picks called Perfect Touch. They were supposed to be the perfect finger picks. they were somewhat longer than standard, and had two odd shaped tabs to bend around the finger. A lot of players were buying them (including me). They were pricy ( don't remember if they were 30ish or 50ish dollars for a pair.) I tried to get used to them, for awhile, but never liked them, so went back to the old style. That's why I asked about the price. I don't want to spend that much money for something I know little about, and might not like. I don't really dislike the old style all that much, and don't really have much trouble keeping them on. Yes, sometimes in the winter, when my fingers usually get chapped they hurt when I put the picks on. I haven't made up my mind, yet, if I'll try some or not -Jake-Erv Niehaus wrote:If you have to ask, you can't afford them.

I did a review of the Saddle thumb pick for pedal steel a while ago. I was unable to get the same fat sound I got with the blue Herco thumb picks. It did stay put quite well on my thumb though!

I got the Picks and they are super great!!!!!RC Antolina wrote:Let me know how they are.
They stay on well and don't pinch my fingers.
I would recommend them to any steel player.
Well worth the investment.

Picks
I received My set of picks today, I have a neuropathy in My fingers and have a lot of trouble with picks. After gently shaping to My fingers, and playing, I love the finger picks. But the thumb pick, not so much. -Charlie-

Picks arrived. Super fast shipping. Used a set of needle nose pliers to set the finger picks up. I am not a good enough player to comment on things like tone of these picks vs. others but they do stay put and they are very comfortable. The additional strap located behind the natural bulge that occurs when fingers are flexed appears to be the secret to the way they work. IMO, the thumb pick would benefit from the same sort of design. No buyers remorse. I would buy them again.
