Joshua Grange. Don't know what year p/p that is but it sounded really fine when they came thru NY last time. He produced the album which is super.

From observing the Emmons; don't know what the model name on this steel is; It is a single neck; three on the floor and possibly four knee levers. Don't know whom the player is. What's your take on this post. ?

Joshua is a great guy and gets a lot of great gigs...I have seen him with Dwight Yokum, K.D. Lang and Sheryl Crow...good work if you can get it...nice going, buddy!

it was ok and the girl and tune was ok.
looks like an early 70's s10 p/p.

Great story about Joshua. As the story goes, a few years ago he showed up for an audition as a bass player and was told the position had been filled but they were looking for a steel player and he said that he also played steel so they told him to come back the next week with his steel. He went home, borrowed a pedal steel, wood-shedded for a week learning how to play one, showed up the following week and got the job. The rest is history- great charismatic very musical guy. He brought KD Lang with him to one of Mike Perlowin's jams a few years ago and, upon getting out of the car being surrounded by the musical cacophony emanating from the room, commented to him that she thought she was getting sea-sick

Big day for them...ive listened to the song a few times now...and it grows on you fast...a different sound..good sound.

Steel player is doing everything the SGF talks about in terms of bringing steel back to the forefront of popular music Just like the 70s...the steel guitar parts are the dominant complement to the vocals...but working with a much different musical context.

The bands vibe reminds me of the Cowboy Junkies...I saw them when they toured with John Mellencamp a few years ago.

Kudos to the band and best of fortunes.
