Milkman 300W Half and Half 12" Combo

Post by Tim Marcus »

I have finally finished the design for the 12" Combo. This amp has the same specs as the 15" and Head version, however a few things have changed since the initial release of the amp.

The price is the same $1700 for either combo, and $1500 for the head.

I am doing my best to keep these in stock but there is still a bit of a wait for new orders.

I will have a video of the amp being played with 6 string guitar next week - this amp is already a hit with steel players and guitar players.

You might have outdone yourself on the esthetics with this one Tim, really classy!

It sort of reminds me of an updated, Cadillac version of a vintage Supro amp. Stylish! 8)

Is that why Sophie has no 12's in stock? Tim's been buying them all! That's all good :) I just want one for my project, was told 6 to 8 weeks.

Tim,
Is the 12" version a smaller cabinet than the 15" version or are the cabinets the same size? I have done much experimenting and do like a 12" but I like a bigger cabinet. Right now I have a single 12" in my old Twin and really like it.

Tim, what is the height difference between the two models? Have you experimented with the 12" in a taller cabinet?

I have

the thing is - if you want the 12" version it might as well be smaller. In the modern gigging age this amp will likely be mic'd up. I am aiming for convenience here. The smaller 12" combo is grab and go, and still sounds fairly huge and is definitely LOUD. With the speaker centered like that, its got as much baffle real estate as possible and the baffle is not floating: its dado'd in so the whole cab is one big soundboard
