relative humidity issues

Post by Jim Curl »

Do any of you take steps to humidify the room (during the cold, dry winter months) where your PSG is set up? Should that even be a concern for me?

In the summer I always run a dehumidifyer to lower the humidity
and in the winter a humidifyer to replace what the furnace removes.

I lived in KC for 23 years and never compensated my equipment for the humidity or lack of.

Same way since I retired and moved to Florida.

A well-regarded luthier/guitar tech once told me (in relation to air-condition, etc) that: "If you're comfortable, your guitar's comfortable..."

I wouldn't be surprised if the same applied to steels.
