John,

It should be another great weekend in Norwalk, hope to see everyone. It's one of the most anticipated weekends of the year for me.
Hope everyone makes the effort to attend this year, a lot of hard work is put into putting on the show every year, my hat's off to Jeff, and Bob, and their families, and all the PSGA gang.

Looking forward to November!
Regards, Craig

Thanks John and Craig for helping publicize our 41st annual steel show.

There have been some modifications concerning the players.

Unfortunately, John DeMaille has an important obligation that weekend and will not be able to be with us.

Additonal players added to the list include Karen Sarkisian from Boston and Lynda Wright from Indianapolis.

Our backup band drummer on Saturday will be Dave Sonneborn.

Doubletree Hotel rooms are still available at the reduced PSGA rate but increased room rates go into effect the end of October. Doubletree reservations phone is: 1-203-853`3477 or Toll free at: 1-800-492-7148. Rservations are available via the Internet at: www.norwalk.doubletree.com make the reservation and "add special rate code PSG"

We are looking forward to another fine show. See you there!

No John DeMaille Bob? I used to watch John play at the Homeport bar and Sundance saloon in Bayshore back in the early 1980's. Think he played an MSA U-12 back then. Bummer. You'll be missed John. See you there Bob.

Yes, I'm extremely sorry, that, I can't be there this year. But, I have a prior commitment, reunion that I really must make. I don't think we'll all make another one, honestly.
It disturbs me immensely, that, I'll miss the show. The PSGA and the steel guitar have been such a part of my life, since I joined and first started to play.
BTW- that was my RusLer S-11 you heard me playing back then. That steel was, is, so dependable. I never had a breakdown or problem with that steel in all the years I played it.
For the last 10 years, I've been playing a U-12 ZumSteel. It's time to give the RusLer a rest.
Enjoy the 41st PSGA show! It's going to be another great one for sure! Every steel player in and around the area should see and hear these shows. The shows are paramount in this area and lots of love and dedication go into creating these events. The officers and volunteers do a super job at putting them together. Our members need to support the shows whole heartedly, without reservation or there'll be no more shows and that would be a terrible loss to us all.

John,

We will miss you immensely, will your better half Darlene be there to sing or will she be with you? I hope for the latter for your sake.

Enjoy your reunion, we will see you in '15, we can talk Corvettes then :D
Regards, Craig

I miss the PSGA shows very much. I wish I could be there to help out like I used to when I lived in Mass. and meet old friends.
I wish Bob and the staff the best of shows and many more to come.

With the several steel shows that I`ve attended and the few that I`ve played at, I have never witnessed a more professional setup like the large screen and a video of your own performance. The PSGA Show in Norwalk is in a special class. This little old hack player from R.I. will be very grateful. I hope to have Joann Svendsen from Fair Haven,MA sing a song on my set as bass player Elaine Ellis has resorted to just singing harmony. This will be Joann`s first time at the show.

Don't let him fool you, folks. Manny is no hack player. You'll have to come see him and catch the "Manny lick" With Elaine and Joann it will be a great set, and very entertaining.

It's always a pleasure to watch and hear Merle play. We're looking forward to seeing everyone there!

I hope to be there both days if my old body can make it. Van Manakas and I will be playing Friday night in Ellenville N.Y. going to Norwalk on Saturday morning and back to N.Y. in the late afternoon. Then back to Norwalk early Sunday. I get to hang out while Van does his magic at the P.S.G.A. show. I don't know how many of these great shows I've been to but I haven't missed one since I started some years back.

I'll be there both days, wouldn't miss it too!

If you are anywhere near the northeast, it's worth the trip, only happens once a year and the staff puts a ton of work into putting on this great show.

Hope to see everyone there.

Karen, I was glad to see your name on the schedule, and yes I'm playing Sunday afternoon. This is a great show, I would call it the "Premier Steel Show of the Northeast". Have you been to it before? I'll see you in a couple of weeks and it will be fun.

Wish John Swain would make it up there. Jim Cohen, maybe you can convince John Swain to make the trip for old times sake?

And Buddy Cage lives nearby. Buddy attended back in 1995 I believe. Has anyone contacted him? I'll check his schedule and if he appears to be free, I'll give him a call.

I just noticed from the psga.org website that the hotel rates go up tomorrow! So better reserve your room today, if you haven't already done so.

Cheer up Jerry, I usually have an "out of mind experience".

On another note, I hope Manny Escobar brings the famous "Multiplied String Manny Harp". Oh how I long to hear that thing again.
