Peel N Stick Fretboards Abalone Markers More Added Flames

Post by George Piburn »

GeorgeBoards Parts catalog has added a new Item for the Do it Your Self Builders --

22.5 Scale Peel N Stick FretBoard - Black with Abalone Lines and Markers in the Fender-ish Theme.

Our DIY Fretboards have registration lines at each end to help you set your nut and bridge. This eliminates the need for rulers and yardsticks.
All of our peel n sticks are 4" wide - you trim them to fit your project with a utility knife and straight edge.

15.00 usd includes USA Shipping

Looking Good

Post by George Piburn »

We have the New 22.5 Abalone Peel N Stick Fret Boards and they are awesome looking.

Our ability to make custom FretBoards is expanding into limitless possibilities.

Any Scale is no problem-o - custom markers - yes - Logo's - Yes - you get the eyedeer.

These are made from high tech 3m Vinyl with a Sticky backing and a Clear Over Coat Layer printed with Out Door Archival Ink for long enduring - scratch resistant duty.

They are made on super high tech modern printers used for out door signage - bus wraps - auto badges and so on.
The graphics creation program is Adobe Illustrator which allows us to go down to 10,000ths tolerance in measuring the scale fret lines - extremely accurate.

Look closely at either end and you will see the Registration lines to set your nut and bridge units at exactly the right place.
No More Need For Yard Sticks and Rulers.
Center Line too will help you place these.

Once you have the nut and bridge set you simply trim to your shape with a straight edge and utility knife.

I have made custom FretBoards for individual folks with their custom Markers and Scales and commercial FretBoards for professional builders -
Adams Carbon Fiber Resonators for example.

More Markers and Flames too !

Post by George Piburn »

We had a Forum Member want some Press down Pre Cut Markers for his Resonators, Just the Markers --- to cover the existing dots but not cloud the natural wood grain.

He got Solid Red and Solid Black Deck of Cards , we also made some Abalone ones too.
These are pre cut to shape with what is called a plotter in the Signage industry.
It is yet another CNC based unit that can cut precision shapes from our Graphic Designer's computer instructions.

No Need to use awkward scissors and blades simply Peel N Stick. The Possibilities are Limitless.

I love what you're doing, George.

Please tell me how to go about pricing some ideas/needs I've got (and how order/commission them). One thing I've got in mind is the abalone board in 24". I'm not sure what I plan to do but I just want to know how to work with you if I get my stuff together enough nail it down.

EyeDeers

Hello Jon

Simply email me george@georgeboards.com and we can open a dialog on every aspect.

Below are some general details.

Basically on Custom Creations that are New it is 40.00 dollars for 2 fret boards includes shipping within the USA.
For example if you want the Abalone in a 24" scale with Rectangle-Square (Fender-ish) or Deck of cards markers (Sho-Bud -ish).

We can do black with colors on the lines and markers or white with colors on the lines and markers.

Of course this is just the tip of the ice berg, Any Color - Marker is able to be made.
The Basic Material is White and the color goes on top.

We have been asked to do clear, and can do it, the thing about it that is , we have a large print minimum and need a greater fee to do so many things.
GeorgeBoards always picks up he remaining printing - graphics fees over our minimums that you are asked for.

This material and Ink can take Lacquer over it, if we leave off the clear coat layer. The Ink can scratch when laying it down , so care is recommended.
Remember there is a sticky layer on the bottom that can distort the clarity some.
I can do a run without the sticky layer to get this as thin and clear as possible, again large minimum fee.

For a more Professional FretBoard we also can make them with Non Glare Lexan - these are back printed .030 thickness, fully stick backing.
We have them Laser Cut to the Exact dimensions for your project.

I made them for Lonnie Bennets New Sacred Steel's he is making. We use them on our professional GeorgeBoard Lap and Console steel guitars.

Thanks, George. I'll be in touch if/when I'm ready to get serious. I may have a simpler order to hold me over with another project.
