Thank you for inviting us back all these years. We were privileged to be at your very first show and I believe this is the 12th! We've enjoyed every one of them and we're really looking forward to this one!
We agree with all the other posts, "This is a super show!" We look forward to it every year! See you all soon!

Ray, would it be possible for Braydon and me to play on Sunday rather than Saturday this year? I have been asked to play a gig on Saturday around noon in Oklahoma then I have the "Little O' Oprey" Saturday evening. Most any time on Sunday would be good as long as we have time to drive there on Sunday morning.
Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry, no problem about being on Sunday. Do you and Braydon want your own set? Ray

Ray, I just learned a few minutes ago that Braydon will not be able to come this time. He has family matters that week-end. So, please give me a spot on Sunday anytime that is good for you allowing me about 3 hours drive time to get there.
Thanks very much,
Jerry

Folks be there the night before if you can.
Thursday afternoon at the KSGA River Party.
We all gather around 4:00 PM at the Park on the Spring River just a 1/4 mile East of Baxter Springs. (turn right)
Bring some sandwich fixens and chips and maybe some soda pop.
We have a great time fellow shipping and telling lies to each other. Very Happy
I hope to see a bunch of you there.

Here is what Fred Justice told me, concerning me locking horns with Mike McGee. Fred said, "Have you picked out your tumb stone?" Also the great guitar player in Springfield, Jerry Menoun, had this to say about me locking horns with Mike McGee. Jerry said, "Mike will tear one of your horns off." I have this to say to Mike--Remember the story about the big bad wolf and the three little pigs? Laughing

I was hesitate to accept Keith's challenge, because of Keith's secret ability to turn Hilton volume pedals on and off secretly using a secret on/off button (don't tell anyone - it's a SECRET). I perceived a particular vulnerability to sabotage at such close range.

But just this week I was able to secure, with Snow White's permission, the help of the Seven Dwarfs, and they are, as we speak, installing 37 additional pedals and levers on my guitar. They will have the latest stealth technology which includes invisibility to radar and the naked eye, as well as 6,000 note/per/minute capabilites. Keith will be unable to keep up with the myriad of raises and lowers coexisting simultaneously, and, because he previously earned a degree in mathematics, the sheer number of permutations and combinations will cause a shutdown of the central nervous system, thus causing him to surrender and concede the match.

I firmly believe that this medical emergency could be quite interesting to view from a ringside seat, so, I am encouraging everyone in the 4 state area (as well as the whole world!) plus all forum members to come witness this spectacle and support the KSGA show!

And besides, if Sid Hudson is coming, you are CRAZY if you miss him! (Now I'm being SERIOUS!)

Mike, you must be dreaming if you really think you can out play me on E9th honky tonk shuffles. I agree, your guitar does have 5 more knee levers than my guitar. That is "why" I get to pick the songs. The way it looks right now, I am the under-dog! Just remember one thing Mike, if I am on, I can be extremely dangerous on the E9th neck. So don't count any chickens before the eggs hatch! Very Happy

Now that's not to say one could put ones bar in a glass of Ice Water just before pickin time or that one could slightly DE tune the c6th 4th string a little and all 10 of the e9th strings a little flat HA!

Thats what I would call stirin it up a little.

Like Tabasco on Hemroid!

OW Bobby, I didn't need that mental picture. Let me remind everyone that Mike followed Doug Jernigan at Nashville. He made a very good showing.

Fred you don't have any confidence in me! You think both my horns will be torn off, and I will limp away with my tail between my legs. LeLand, must I remind you of the story in the Bible concerning, "David and Goliath"? Jerry and Bobby---The method I will use will be the same method used to hypnotize a dangerous cobra snake. Once the cobra is spellbound I can have my way with him. Smile

I'm only stirring the pot a little but Mike already knows he is my hero and Keith is a Tops player too.

Both my heroes.

Looking forward to hearing them again too.

Sincerely,
Bobby DeMoss
