KSGA Route 66 Show Oct. 3-5 2014.

Post by Leland Ogle »

This is our 12th year for our show and it is shaping up to be a good one. There are a lot of activities in Baxter Springs this year that are scheduled on the same weekend. There will be a custom car show two blocks from our show and Baxter Springs' First Cowtown in Kansas celebration will be going on at the same time. Also a city wide yard sale. Hope to see a bunch of friends and make some new ones.

On my set, I have asked Mike McGee to play steel with me. We are formally-- "LOCKING HORNS"--- to see who is the best Honky TonK E9th player-me or Mike. I know what you are thinking--"You think I don't stand a chance against the Great Mike McGee". To level the playing field, Mike, I get to pick the songs. Both of us will be required to stick to the E9th neck. Mike, the songs will not be complex lounge lizard music that puts people to sleep. It won't be music for bed wetters and tree huggers. Mike, be ready to play some drinkin, she done me wrong shuffles. Mike, I agree that you are a great player, but never under estimate me. When I am "ON" I can be dangerous!
