Nice looking guitars. I'm guessing the resonator models are acoustic, correct?

Why are the positions of the tuning pegs and changer reversed on the pedal guitar?

Will you make 10 and 12 string versions?

The Franklin Ped-A-Bro was made 25 or so years ago. Franklin had a patent on them, but I think the patent ran out.

Sweet! I took a look at your website last night: Very nice work. Could we please have an under carriage photo of the mechanisms on the Pedal Hudsonator?
Are these all-pull? Are the changers owner configurable?

Thanks and keep up the good work. 8)

The changers I make in house. They are single finger changers pull release style changers
The standard model is set here in the shop to standard specs. and I can do custom setups to order.
Can do up to 3 bends on one string
The setup can be changed on the upgraded undercarriage to movable bell cranks.
It is best to order the guitar set up the way you want it so no changes are needed to the undercarriage
I will upload some photos of the upgraded undercarriage as soon as I get some photos took of it.

I think a lot of people who play 10 or 12 string steels will be interested in this. Are you prepared to make an all pull changer with triple raises and lowers and split screws?

At this time I am not going to make a all pull changer for these.
All that is needed is the simple changer to do 1,4,5 cord and can add 3rd pedal for 7th cords and 1 more knee lever to do minors.
Most folks don't want all the complicated stuff.
I like to keep it simple and that keeps the price where more folks can afford one of my guitars.

They are reversed so the pull rods don't have to go through the sound chamber.
I only have the 6 string on the build line at this time.
Do not have a 8 or 10 string model in the plans for the near future.

Beautiful Guitar

Post by Micheal Harvey »

I had the pleasure to actually see and hear the Hudsonator this weekend while picking up a case that he made for my 8 string that he also made and this thing is beautiful and sounds awesome. Mr Hudson is a pleasure to deal with and perfectionist in his work.

Hi Chris,
I have never built guitars with Ron !.
I do all my steel guitar building including all the parts myself. Every guitar is built in house by me and must pass my inspection before it goes out the door.
Mr ! builds Bentley steel guitars up in NY I think.
I have never seen one of them but if you contact Ron I am sure he can fill you in on all the details of his guitars.
I am in NC so It would be a little hard for me to work together with someone from NY.
