Can someone give me an accurate estimate as to the amount of nothing in existence ( or can nothing exist). Is this thread about to max out or do we have a way to go yet?

Rocket science is when the scientists find out things about space. Space is NOTHING itself, but boy are we (and the Russians and others) filling it with junk!

This just may be the end to this thread.
The following statements are an attempt, to once and for all, blow the theory of the existence of NOTHING off the web and out of your mind:

First there was nothingness.
Then, came the Big Bang from which everything evolved.
Then, everything in existence became something, eradicating the idea that NOTHING exists, for eternity.

You're welcome!

But nothing ever came out of nothing. There must have been something which caused the Big Bang to happen. Stephen Hawking pointed out that mathematically it was possible, if there is such a thing as negative energy and negative matter, for the same amount of positive and negative material to have been created simultaneously, as long as the total was still NOTHING. As a result of that, scientists all over the world (and probably all over the universe) are searching for negative matter (antimatter). Who knows, there may be scientists somewhere far away in the universe, where everything consists of antimatter and antienergy, who are looking for evidence of positive matter. :whoa: :whoa: :whoa: :whoa:

But, even though something is mathematically possible, and there is evidence that antimatter has been created in a lab for microseconds, doesn't mean it's the right answer. After all, all the mathematical equations work just as well in reverse, so mathematically time can flow backwards. What busts that theory is that time itself does not exist as an entity, it's merely a measurement of cause and effect, and effect cannot precede cause. We are all time travellers, but the arrow of time is always forwards. All that the Theory of Relativity does is show that the passage of time can be sped up or slowed down, but it can never be reversed. It would be possible for travellers to travel into the future, by speeding up time relative to them, but not to return. And remember, that if you speed up time you are still living through every moment of that time, even though you are experiencing it slower. In the meantime, to someone standing by you, you would appear almost stationery. The problem is that you're completely at their mercy. They could easily kill you while you were in that state, or cut off your funding, and your trip into the future would appear to you to be just a few seconds, and then
NOTHING.

Correct, if you mistakenly assume that the reality we experience with our very limited five senses and our (including Stephen Hawking's) very limited reasoning is the only possible reality. I do not. Past, present, and future exist simultaneously. Time is an invention of the human mind (as you also assume). We create clocks and calendars and misuse carbon 14 in an attempt to validate our "time" creation.

I think of the "liquid" quantum theory, of which much might never be fully explained, if we persist that our "human logic and reasoning" is the ultimate in understanding. I humbly admit, when we speak of reality I know virtually NOTHING.
