I like these bars. Haven't tried the powder coated one yet, but I have played and like them in the following metals
Brass (pretty, good sustain)
hard-chromed brass (just a bit brighter than the the brass, but not as pretty)
Hard-chromed steel (I can't feel or hear much of a difference from the chromed brass)
Stainless steel
Titanium (slightly mellower tone)
Anodized Aluminum (nice tone, short sustain- good for dobro simulation or Mooney-style)
