How's The World Treating You - Zane & Donna

Post by Zane King »

Donna and I have been busy this past weekend making a fun little You Tube video here. You'll see the new Jackson Slideking 6 (standing 6 string steel), the Sho-Bro (dobro with pedals), and the Blackjack 12 all in this video. Check it out. THANKS FOR LISTENING!

Great stuff. You're a lucky man.
I know my playing is a bit pitchy, but at least my tone sucks

Wow. The dobro, especially, was crazy good. Charlie and Ira would be proud.

Zane continues to knock me out with his work. Donna sings so sweet, and together was overwhelming. Please continue to post your compositions, they really make me smile and make my day. What a great sound. More, more, more.

Hi Zane,
I agree with the guys.... great job. I have two questions tho' - what are the details on the pedal dobro and what model of Neumann mic did you use?

Thanks!

Thanks guys for the nice comments. Ya'll are a good bunch! :D :D

Jim - here is your answer. On the pedal dobro - I have the only one of these and I've decided that I'm going to keep it that way. LOL. I have to get gigs somehow or another. JUST KIDDING! The Jackson Brothers can hook you up. These rigs have just been developed and they are still ramping up to get them produced. That all said, I would call and get my name on a list for one soon. I can tell you they just absolutely work. I have a dobro as you can see in the video hanging on my wall. It frustrates me more than anything. Thus, with pedals I really feel as if I'm playing the instrument satisfactorily. And with some new sounds that likely are fresh to most people.

Neumann TLM 103. Workhorse of a microphone.

Very nice, Zane. So much talent between you and your wife. The whole production was excellent. Wish I could turn on the radio and listen to music like that.

Zane, I've loved country music since I was very young.I have spent many hours listening to Jim Reeves music. I know others have recorded this song, but Jim's recording is still my favorite. Thank you and your wife for sharing your work. Wonderful job on a true country classic. Dale
