Jackson Pro IV Hybrid - D10 - White! - $4500

Post by Adam Ollendorff »

A very new, very cool Jackson Pro IV Hybrid double 10. It's called a hybrid because it has a custom combination frame: part wood, part metal. The steel is in absolutely wonderful condition.

Price is $4,500 plus the actual cost of shipping from North Carolina. (These Pro IV steels start at $5,500 new.)

I'm listing this guitar for a friend. Please feel free to email or call me at (615) 957-0373 with any questions, and to arrange the sale.

Cool steel

Post by Steve Spitz »

Could you show how the frame is part metal ? Maybe some undercarriage shots?
Sure does look cool.

In corresponding with Dawn Jackson, I get the impression that it's a metal neck on a wood body -- hence the "hybrid."

I see the "Hybrid" being a cross between the Pro IV and the Blackjack Custom. Almost all Pro IV's seem to have traditional necks (wood) and key heads, but this one has the low metal style and the recessed key heads. Interesting!

If you've got to be a good soccer player to wear white boots, I guess you've got to be an ace steeler to get away with a white steel!(':whoa:')
(PS - how does the tone on this beauty compare to black steels? I think we should be told.)

Hybrid

Post by Steve Spitz »

I think Kenny has it figured out. In addition to no wooden neck and no wooden rear apron, It looks like it has the blackjack recessed tuning pan, and the Blackjack changer.
Interesting.

What a beauty! I think Adam needs to buy it from his friend for himself. Would look awesome on stage reflecting back the multi-colored lights.

Pro IV

Post by Steve Spitz »

Charlie,
Thank you for clearing that up, I hope I didn't mislead a potential buyer with my mistaken guess.
To me , from the top view, the piece which holds the fingers looks like the blackJacks trapezoid shaped housing. The pro IV changer looked different from above.
So...does the changer look like the ProIV both from above and from the undercarriage ?
Thanks again to Charlie and anyone else who contributes.

Hey friends. Sorry for my ignorance. It seems the hybrid qualities do have to do with the combination wood and metal body.
