A NOTICE APPEARED ON MY COMPUTER SAYING THAT XP WILL
NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE , AND 7 OR 8 WILL TAKE IT
PLACE .
I HAVE ALL OF MY BIAB BACKED UP . SOME ONE TOLD ME THAT MY BIAB WILL NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH XP .MY QUESTION IS ,WILL IT WORK .SOMEONE TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE
TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER , IS THIS SO ?

Microsoft has gone ahead and re-supported XP, tho for how long we don't know. I have an XP that I ran the update process with no problem. I probably use it online as much as my Win 7 laptop, which I bought because XP was ceasing to be supported.

Not true, support ended in April, however, they will continue to provide signature updates to Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus through July 14, 2015

In response to the original question, BIAB will work on all Windows operating systems beyond XP. If the XP install you have now is not on the internet, you have no worries. If it is, then you should upgrade to Win 7 or 8.1
